What our guests have said about Le Jardin du Cure:

"Our holiday in France was the perfect blend of relaxation and activity. The flight into Toulouse was low-cost and easy, and, arriving at Le Jardin du Cure in our hire car, we knew we'd made the right choice for holiday accommodation. What strikes you immediately as you come through the gates is the lush green garden, with its large wildlife pond and swimming pool. This is the ideal place to spend those lazy, restful days where all you feel like doing is sitting in the sun and reading a good book. On the days where we felt like a bit more activity than the odd game of petanque and splash in the pool, we took off in the hire car to a number of towns and villages in the midi-pyrenees."

"There are some beautiful places to explore - particularly the bastide towns of Albi and Cordes. Wandering around these French towns, you really get a sense of what life used to be like in this beautiful region of Southern France. The views from Cordes-sur-ciel are magnificent, and not to be missed. We were lucky to avoid most of the tourists by visiting the area in the spring - making the most of our ability to take our holidays off-peak. We also went for gentle countryside walks in the area surrounding Le Jardin du Cure, with maps borrowed from our hosts.

We chose to take up the offer of 'table d'hote', which meant that we didn't have to spend our holiday shopping, cooking and washing up. Our hosts provided a delicious, authentic French meal each evening, which was complemented by local wines and good conversation. Having eaten well, evenings were spent playing cards and reading by the log fire, perfect ends to long, relaxing days. We'll be back next year!"

"We chose a holiday home situated near an Aerodrome in the South of France. I've always wanted the chance to take a flight in a glider, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to combine this with a holiday in France. We visited the aerodrome and booked our flights on the first day of our holiday, and returned a few days later prepared for the experience! The pilots and staff at the airfield were very friendly and helpful, and their prices were very reasonable."

"The flight in the glider was a real mixture of serene movement in the air whilst the take-off and landing on the grass was a bit more bumpy. An experience I am glad to have had! We also took the opportunity to take a flight in a microlight. The sensation at take-off and the chance to see a large bird of prey riding a thermal below us, along with the fantastic views of the countryside of the Midi-Pyrenees, make my micro-lighting flight a truly memorable end to my holiday in the south of France".

"Le Jardin du Cure is a haven of peace and tranquillity. We stayed at the Cottage in November. With its wood burning stove, warm timbers and vista onto the beautiful wild garden complete with woodpeckers and kingfishers (among others) this city stressed couple soon became normal human beings again. The surrounding countryside of the Tarn is some of the best in France with its ancient villages and historic towns."

"We would thoroughly recommend the Le Jardin du Cure to any one looking for relaxation and lovely surroundings. If you ask nicely, Penny may let you use her, not inconsiderable, library of books! Oh, and her herb garden too. Thanks Penny and Phil".

"Thank you for a brilliant week in France. The Cottage was the ideal place to spend the first week of April - when it was warm and sunny we had the French doors open all day, looking out onto the beautiful garden beyond. And in the cool evenings the wood burning stove made the cottage warm and cosy. The chickens were a bit alarming, but it was great to have fresh eggs in the morning! And thank you for the wonderful home cooking – we barely touched our well-equipped kitchen! The garden is really beautiful – we can’t wait to see it in the summer.

Our explorations of the area took us into Graulhet, which is a fascinating town, lined with beautiful old leather factories just crying out to be converted into stylish loft apartments. (!) And we watched gliders circling in the sky above Le Jardin du Cure, and coming in to land in a neighbouring field…. Not quite brave enough to have a go yet! We will definitely be back. Thank you for such a warm welcome and such a relaxing week. And thanks for the bundle of fresh herbs – a reminder of your beautiful garden".
